i'm a big fan of the Jonas Brothers - most specifically Joe Jonas... i was able to watch Camp Rock moive twice on Disney Channel and it was really fun - it made me reminisce my "teen life"....
in a couple of months, the adventure continues for Mitchie & Shane for Camp Rock: the Final Jam... i'll surely watch out for this!
Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers....

the prince in my dream..
this post is long overdue.. but my dream about Prince Dastan is still fresh in my memory even after 3 weeks.. sheesh!
okay.. . what made my dream more memorable is "I" was the leading lady of my Hollywood crush Jake Gyllenhaal in the movie Prince of Persia.. it was "I" who willingly gave the Dagger of Time to Dastan and "I" was the one whom Jake "french-kissed" after we defeated our enemies..
what made the journey unique though - is that we actually didn't look for the dagger... in my dream we were after the "balisong" that the ostrich master

the Third Twin
Synopsis (from Barnes & Noble)
Through her research on twins and the genetic components of aggression, scientist Jeannie Ferrami makes a startling discovery. Using a restricted FBI database, she finds two young men who appear to be identical twins: Steve, a law student, and Dennis: a convicted murderer.
Yet they were born on different days, to different mothers, in hospitals hundreds of miles apart.
As Ferrami delves into their backgrounds, she unwittingly locks horns with some of the most powerful forces in America, including the university where she works, The New York Times, even the Pentagon.
What secret has Ferrami uncovered? Can she trust her boss and mentor, or must she put her life in the hands of Steve Logan, the twin she finds herself falling in love with—even though he's surrounded by intrigue and suspicion?
But one thing is certain: There are those who will stop at nothing to keep their chilling conspiracy in the shadows. . . .

my take: this is the first Ken Follett book i've read and it had me hooked from Chapter 1 until i had to guess who the real antagonist was! perfect mystery-medical drama! i like the way Ken manuevered the story from a gruesome work of a fear-loving guy, then segueing it to another person of the same taste & appearance but totally different upbringing.
The Third Twin is something that would keep you awake way past midnight.. and it made me shudder & think, could this really happen? could there really be an experiment that could create 8 identical twins born from 8 different moms? of course not! but once you read this book, you might think twice... er... thrice... or 8 times!!
for my rating, i'm giving The Third Twin .. well... aptly 3 bookmarks!

The Bride Quartet
i finally finished the first 3 books of Nora Roberts' Bride Quartet! and i can't wait to grab & read her last book in the series. but i still have to wait for November to be able to read Parker's story..
here's a gist of the three books i have learned to love...enjoy!
Vision in White
– Mackenzie Elliott & Carter McGuire -
Theirs stemmed from long-ago high-school infatuation which ended up with a head-toss and almost naked encounter.. this book relates very well to me because I was like Prof. Carter – geek, bookish and everything – and clumsy when it comes to love. In a way, I am also like Mac, who loves taking picture but was afraid of finding the one true love..
Their relationship had its high & low, with a crazy mother in between, and in the end, their love was captured in a picture-perfect setting…
Bed of Roses
– Emmaline Grant & Jack Cooke -
A steamy love affair which started with car trouble then led to the exchange of naughty emails and ended up in a bed of roses – literally! Emma, a hopeless romantic florist, hoped to find her Prince in a bevy of dashing males – but the one person who was truly FOR her, was just under her nose – the architect, Jack, whom she had known for a long time. The moment their heads bumped each other may have triggered the relationship to bloom..
the subtle touch of friendship & Emma's vision of a perfect romance brings back my old memories of high school when a letter could generate a mix of emotions and made me day-dream of prince & princesses in a castle.. and the happy ending it would surely bring :)
Savor the Moment
– Laurel Anne McBane & Delaney Brown -
This may be my favorite book in the trilogy!! the hardships of the pastry baker, Laurel from rags to riches may mean nothing compared to the luxurious life that Atty. Delaney Brown has been born with and led.. but when two strong opposing personalities set the deal of diving into a relationship for 30 days – without sex!!
everyone in the household started to bet that though the dating phase would last longer, the no-sex phase would only last for a couple of weeks.. and to top it off, the crazy mother returned, which put the affair out of balance..
it made me teary-eyed when the couple finally admitted their true feelings for each other – in a unique sunny way… this book has all the elements I am looking for in a story – action, drama, comedy, anger, romance and of course – hot jungle sex-scene…
Happy Ever After
– Parker Brown & Malcolm Kavanaugh -
Looking forward to reading the story that could put an end to Parker’s super organized life and Malcolm’s happy-go-lucky attitude…
the last book in the Bride Quartet series...
knowing that it's from Nora Roberts, i am sure , it must be great!
'till next time!
